Scrap Gold Recycling/Purchasing Policy

We appreciate your interest in recycling your scrap gold with us. At Musa de Oro, we strive to make the process of selling your gold simple, transparent, and fair.
Below, you'll find our policy regarding the purchase of scrap gold:

  1. Evaluation Process:
    • We use a digital tester to accurately determine the karat of your gold.
    • A legal scale is used to weigh the gold, ensuring precise measurement.
    • We employ a Kitco scrap gold calculator to determine the daily market price of gold.

  2. Pricing:
    • We offer 65% of the market value for your scrap gold. This price reflects the current market rate and is calculated using our scrap gold calculator. Rates change daily and our purchase offer is based on the market rate of the day of assessment.
    • gemstone under 3mm are included in the scrap gold weight price. Gemstones over 3mm can be removed and returned to the client for a small labour fee.

  3. Payment Options:
    • You can choose to receive payment in one of the following ways:
    Cash: Immediate cash payment.
    Bank Transfer: Direct transfer to your bank account.
    Credit: Apply the value as a credit towards a new piece of jewellery from our boutique or towards a custom jewellery project.

  4. Transaction Process:
    • Upon agreement of the value, a receipt will be issued detailing the transaction.
    • You will be required to sign the receipt to confirm the sale.
    • Once the receipt is issued and signed, no buybacks or refunds are permitted. The gold now becomes the property of Musa de Oro.

  5. Documentation:
    • For your records, you will receive a copy of the receipt which includes all details of the transaction.
